        To my mind, an educational Institute is about building character, enriching minds and about enriching experiences that last a lifetime.
        Life is not a set of instructions, but is a series of experiences and learning processes. Smt. C.H.M. College is no exception.
        This is where our College steps in to make the difference, beyond instruction and beyond learning horizons.
        Smt CHM College is one of the prestigious Colleges in Thane District. Our faculty which is highly trained is our greatest asset. They are dedicated to research and teaching. We have highly motivated technical and administrative staff.
        Much remains to be accomplished. We cannot rest on laurels of yesterday, we must have concern for tomorrow’s generation.
        We have to move and think ahead of our times.
        With the student strength of about 12000 students, for total of 18 Undergraduate Departments in the Conventional Courses, 08 Unaided Professional Courses, 10 Post-Graduate Courses and 07 Research departments, the efforts are directed to accommodate and address the expectations of each student by the way of enabling them to participate in seminars, workshops organized in and out of the institute.
        This year our students ranked in B Com in Mumbai University. We have rank holders at Board level ie XII. I feel happy when my bright and talented students perform remarkably well. However, what makes me happier that is when weak students from rural backgrounds progress steadily to perform better, marching and moving towards excellence.
        The College has three prestigious UGC Centers, the Women’s Studies Centre, the Gandhian Studies Centre and the Remedial Coaching Centre, through which the various outreach programmes take shape. The Association of the College with Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Kaivalayadhama, Lonavala, the American Information Resource Center, Mumbai and Clayton State University (USA) has reaped rich dividends.
        My endeavour will be to see that my college leaves a measurable impact on the society at large.
        I am confident that this year will bring happiness and prosperity to every member of CHM Family.
