Marathi Vangmay Mandal is one of the pioneer associations of Smt Chandibai Himathmal Mansukhani College, Ulhasnagar established in 1965, which highly appreciated and loved by the students, Teaching and Non-teaching staff because they felt related to their culture through MVM. It is not re-creative but educative too, was a reaction by teachers and students around.

For the last 44 years Marathi Vangmaya Mandal has been engaged in bringing students in touch with cultural movements outside their usual educational curriculum which lead to Leadership qualities, Creative activities, Communication skill, Artistic Competence. This is reflected in List of Alumni students.

MVM organizes various competitions such as Poetry Writing & Recitation Competition, Essay Writing Competitions, Kite Competition (A Unique Feature celebrating Kite Festival with decorating Kites with Love Poems by the Students, of the great Marathi Poets), Acting Competition, Theatre Workshop, Rangoli Workshop, Painting Workshop, Folk Arts And Folk Theatre Workshop for the students of the college. MVM takes the lead in celebrating Guru Pournima, Teachers’ Day in the college.
Principal Dinesh Panjwani, Principal on lien, merged all the associations under One Umbrella- Arts Forum, in the year 2000-01. Associations like MVM, English Literary Association, Hindi Sahitya Parishad, Arts Circle, Economics Association, Psychology Association were merged under Arts Forum. Under the auspice of Arts Forum, MVM was instrumental in motivating students for the social causes.

Principal Dinesh Panjwani introduced various activities for the students, MVM always took keen interest in participating in these activities: Independence Day Celebrations, Diwali Utsav (Celebrating Diwali at Shantivan, Ashram for Leprosy Hit People, Nere, Panvel, Chandi Utsav (Annual College Festival), Republic Day Celebrations at SDO Office, Ulhasnagar, VTC Ground, Gaurav Divas.
