Students Council for each conducted college/ institution affiliated to the University of Mumbai is to be formed as per the direction issued on 20th July, 2000 by the then Honorable Vice- Chancellor under the provisions of the Maharashtra Universities Act,1994.

Students’ Council comprising of meritorious students from academics, sports and cultural events forms the link between the students and the administration.

In the current year   Students Council was formed on 29th November, 2010 comprising 36 members of which 30 members are the students representing their class, who have shown academic merit at the examination held in the preceding year  and who is engaged in full time studies in the college  and 4 members are the students who have shown outstanding performance in Sports, National Service Scheme and Adult Education, National Cadet Corps and Cultural Activitiesl and 2 members are  lady students.  The above students are  nominated by Principal. Of these members Ms. Chaitali Choudhri (TY BSc. CS) is selected as General Secretary of the council on 6th December, 2010.

The members of the students’ council voice the concerns of the students and are actively involved in the actual organisation of all the cultural and academic events of the College. Members of the Students’ Council often perform the function of Master of Ceremonies in functions like the College Annual Day, Gaurav Diwas, Bhajan Prabhat and Bhajan Sandhya and other cultural programmes. The Council shall not engage in Political Activities.
