Co-Curricular Activies
The college has well-developed sports grounds of high standard which are consistently used for organizing inter-collegiate tournaments in Football, Ball-Badminton, Handball and athletics. In the last 6 years, more than 150 students have been selected for Inter-university and national sports events. The Strongest Women Title was conferred to the students of our college for two consecutive years. The college has ranked in the first ten consistently at the University of Mumbai since the turn of the century
Exposure of the students to highest quality of sports, National Cadet Crops (N.C.C.) and National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) is essential for achieving the holistic development of students. In the 21st Century, the College has never missed a place in the top ten sports ranking of University of Mumbai. The highest ranking was the 4th in 2003-2004. The N.C.C. cadets have always represented the College at the prestigious Republic Day Parade at Delhi, with highest award in N.C.C. - the Prime Ministers’ Baton being awarded to our N.C.C. Cadet in 2001.
The N.S.S. has literally grown from strength to strength from 100 in 2001 to 300 in 2008. The programme of Welfare Community Activities provides unique social awakening to the students. The current N.S.S. Unit has been instrumental in motivating a large number of school drop out women from Pimploli, Badlapur, to rejoin mainstream education, by taking the preparatory course of the Yashwantrao Chawan Maharashtra Open University (Y.C.M.O.U.), under the “Reach the Reachable Rightly” project of the UGC - sponsored Women Studies Centre.
The Co-curricular and extra curricular activities of the College are canalized through the various associations of the College, namely, the Science Association, Commerce Association, Arts Forum and the Sindhi Sahit Sangat. These associations aim to bring about focus and synergize the efforts of the different streams of the College. The Science Association has spread it wings by consistently organizing three Inter-Collegiate events, Avishkaar, Srujan and Aavesh in addition to he Intra Collegiate Activities. Avishkaar, one of the most significant events organized annually by the Science Association, in collaboration with the Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, is a science quiz program, which inspires the Junior college students to learn, to participate and to compete in a scientific environment.

The College enrolls from both junior and degree college to N.C.C. There are boys and girls units.
The enrollment is purely by selection, and students are accorded training in a variety of fields such as rifle shooting, signals, map-reading, medical, civil defence, drill, unarmed combat etc.
They are also encouraged to carry out socially relevant activities such as blood donation, adult education, tree plantation etc.
The best cadets are recommended to the battalion for para-sailing,trekking, mountaineering, hiking ,Republic Day Camp, Youth Exchange Programs etc.
Major Dr. J.J Patil and Capt. DU.Shinde are incharge of the NCC (Girls) and NCC (Boys) units respectively. |

National Service Scheme was established in the year 1969, the birth centenary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.
It is identified as "Youth movement on Social Development"
A student can enroll himself / herself in N.S.S and develop their personality through social service projects.
An N.S.S Volunteer is required to do 120 hours of Social Work in an academic year and at least one special camp of 10 days duration in two years to be eligible for 10 grace marks in the annual examination.

The College Magazine CHANDI is published every year in the second term. It reflects the entire set up of the College, its working during the year and progress made in different avenues.
It contains articles on literary, academic and topical subjects. Besides, it also contains photographs of the activities of the College.
The magazine is an almost completely in House production, which is managed by the Magazine team comprising of students and teachers, who are involved in its production from the conceptualizing to the printing stages .

- Commerce Associations (Ms. Bharti Premani , Chairperson)
- Science Association (Dr. Mrs. S.K. Karandikar, Chairperson)
- Sindhi Sahit Sangat (Mr. Gopal Kanjan, Chairman)
To develop the extra-mural activies of the students
- The literary faculties of the students are promoted by the English Literary Association, Sindhi Sahitya Sangat, Marathi Vangmaya Mandal and Hindi Sahitya Parishad under one roof "Arts Forum".
- The Arts Forum also promotes the interest of the students in various art forms. The Science Associations provides a platform for the expression of the scientific spirit of the students. Commerce and Accountancy associations promotes Industrial visits, Personality Developments and Career Building Programmes.
These Associations cater to the development of the literary skills, scientific temperament and managerial skills of the students and provide them with a vibrant intellectual and cultural environment .
The various activities that are undertaken by these associations are Cultural Programmes,Art exhibitions,Avesh,Nirman, Quiz Competitions,Industrial visits,Personality Development programmes and Career Guidance activities.
Science Association : An extremely vibrant association of the college, it has been successfully enthusing the students about Science for more than Two decades, nurturing students by scientific talents and thereby also shaping their overall personality.
In addition to these activities, some of the other prestigious programmes that the College organizes on an Annual basis are : The Bhajan Prabhat and Bhajan Sandhya at the beginning of the two terms; Gaurav Diwas, in commemoration of the spirit of the republic nature of the Nation on 26 January, when we honour the living legends of independent India; the Chandi Utsav, - the proceeds of which are donated to the Shantivan Ashram, Panvel.
On the College Annual Day, we honour our students who have excelled in academics, sports, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities and community services. Through a stringent process the two best students are selected as Mr. Chandi and Miss Chandi. The selection procedure for these titles is very well-defined and transparent. Applications are invited from meritorious students and they are evaluated along the parameters of Academic, Extra-curricular/Co-curricular/Extra Mural Activities, Group Discussions, Personal Interviews and Public Performance. A separate panel of judges is appointed for all these events and the criteria for evaluation is determined and displayed well in advance. |

As per the requirements of the University of Mumbai the College has established a Women's Development Cell, which has been functioning for three years now, to generate gender awareness and sensitivity among the students and the faculty.
The Woman Development Cell seeks to promote respect for women at the workplace, address issues that specifically pertain to women, identify problems of working women and try to resolve them in a well-negotiated manner.
